Bee Keeping
In collaboration with other projects, doners, national and international NGOs Al-Thuraya conducts studies, training and capacity building to:
Capacity building of males and females of beekeepers in terms of improving of honey quality and honey production to increase the incomes of beekeepers and creating good conditions for exports of high honey quality. Use of modified Yemeni traditional beehives.
Activities
1. Selection and identification of baneberries and training sites (In coordination with the offices of MAI in each governorates) .
2. Providing of trainers and conducting the training sessions.
3. Logistic person (one for every training site) .
4. Stationery for training sessions and for the beneficiaries.
5. Per diem and transportation for beneficiaries.
